For registration purposes, we collect personal data including full name, address, date of birth, nationality, email address and telephone number, as well as the level of German language skills.
To collect the course fee, we require bank account or credit card details.
Information about whether students are part of an exchange program (and if so, of which one) is provided to us by the Freie Universität Berlin.
After being entered by the participants (using the registration form on the preparatory German language course website), these data are stored in the SQL database. From there, an employee exports the data to an Excel spreadsheet.
Data exchange (except for payment information) for course allocation takes place with the program coordinator of the preparatory German language course of the Freie Universität Berlin. Payment confirmations / bank statements are filed during the registration process. Afterwards, account statements are disposed of in compliance with data protection laws and credit card receipts are filed by the accounting department of ERG Universitätsservice GmbH.
